One year ago today was my level 11 state of emergency when I ended up in a Methodist University Hospital.

A bed that I didn’t leave for two months!!!! Fortunately I crossed paths with many wonderful, caring nurses (that’s you Bethany London) and doctors along the way.

I hope my one year anniversary provides a little joy and satisfaction for those who helped me survive those scary days and hours. I touch the knot at the top of my heart surgery chest scar as I write this post.

Now go rub some snow in your face and cherish the sensation and how it feels to be alive today.
